We have been advised that Manulife plans to cease accepting new structured settlement annuity business effective June 29, 2018*.

Manulife will, of course, continue to honour its obligations with respect to all existing structured settlement annuities. Manulife’s planned departure from this market simply means that it will not be available for placement of new structured settlements following the effective date.

The structured settlement market in Canada continues to be very competitive and well supported by the three life insurance companies that remain in it.
