Before joining McKellar, Sumitra practiced personal injury law in Hamilton for 15 years. She has represented clients in jury and non-jury trials, at FSCO arbitration hearings and has appeared multiple times before the Ontario Court of Appeal.
Her legal and client relation skills will continue McKellar's tradition of unparalleled client service. Having worked in civil litigation for her whole career she is excited to move into this different area of a personal injury settlement.
Sumitra grew up in Ottawa but has been in southern Ontario since moving to Guelph for her undergraduate degree in International Development. She enjoys playing soccer, watching movies and spending time with her husband and her three very active children.
